The Reality of the Hills
Love them or hate them we all know that Lauren, Heidi, and Whitney have become household names. Gracing covers of many magazines they are “reality” icons. I quote reality because it is obvious that the show is scripted. I will admit I hopped on the Hills bandwagon and loved the show. This season I did watch the first episode which felt like a long commercial. I got half way through the second show when I realized I was over the Hills. This past week I read an article on Shine explaining the amount of money the characters make per show along with their careers.
Where we all know that the entertainment business will always come up with an abundance of money regardless of how tough the economy is but I think that we are living in a sad reality to pay so called reality TV cast members more money per show, as well as their job salary, than many individuals annual salary per year.
What do you think about the television show and the cast members salaries?

WOW!!!! That is just disgusting that they earn that much money. It's just a shame to see how twisted this world can be. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer.
I fell out of love with the Hills after the last season. It just got too fake when they had Lauren interning for Fashion Week, when she had her OWN clothing line!!!
It's too scripted for me now and to learn of these outrageous salaries solidifies that I won't be watching anymore of the "reality" show.
