Finding Your Truth

The first holiday of the summer is here. For some of us it is a day off, spending time with family and friends, or taking a vacation. As we celebrate Independence Day, many of us may, or may not, reflect upon the representation of the holiday. When I think about the holiday, one thing that comes to mind is personal freedom. The only way we can be truly free on an individual level is to seek our own personal truth. For some reason this is very difficult for a lot of people. In situations when we are blocked, hurt or really questioning something, we most likely already know the answer but we are afraid to trust ourselves enough to follow our own voices.

Many of us are seeking or questioning something at this present moment. You could be in the process of changing careers, moving, releasing someone from your life, or thinking about bringing someone new into your personal circle. Whatever your situation is, it is essential to ask the right questions and give yourself honest answers so that you can continue on your chosen path that is right for you. Sometimes we may not like our answers or feel uncomfortable because our decisions will take us out of our comfort zone, it is important to realize that being uncomfortable is one of the elements of personal growth.

This month, I encourage you to really dig deep and seek your personal truth. The process can be both painful and empowering, but knowing that you found the strength to be true to yourself creates confidence, character and integrity along with personal freedom.
Two books that I recommend are The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho (one of my personal favorites) and The Right Questions by Debbie Ford Sphere: Related Content

Hmm...a dear friend recommended The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho. I actually have the book, but I have yet to start reading it. I think you've just motivated me to do so! Thanks! :-)
