We all go to the gym for various reasons. The gym is a great place to start and maintain a healthy regime but beware of the germs that are lurking around. This Saturday I visited my friend’s gym, it was bring a friend day for new members and she just signed up, I was happy to be a supportive friend but there were some things that were very unsanitary.
I was taken aback by the locker room, you could honestly smell the bacteria, there were two bathrooms stalls that were not clean, and water puddles on the floor from the people swimming just to name a couple of things. Working out, I noticed that people didn’t wipe down machines as they should, nor did they use towels on some of the weight machines as appropriate. I warned her to take every precaution to prevent unnecessary germs. I was happy to return to my home gym, there are germs everywhere but at my gym they are sticklers about keeping things clean and wiping down machines.
