Have Fun With Some Hair Play

I have been struggling with my damaged hair this summer, I have not straightened it since the beginning of June. One reason is because with my Bikram Yoga classes there is really no point because I am sweating it out every other day. My second reason is that heat (blow drying, curling, flat ironing) really damages your hair and I want it healthy again. The curls have been behaving themselves and my hair is getting back into shape. The other night I had to attend and event. I wanted to do something different, so I dusted off the blow dryer and flat iron and decided to straighten my hair.

I tried some new products as well. HairPlay’s SET (setting lotion) and SEAL (a finishing weightless serum), a duo created by beauty expert Fritz Clay of San Francisco. This product is AWESOME, after I washed my hair I put the SET in my hair. As I was applying it, at first I was a bit nervous because my hair felt a bit rough but as I continued to apply it to my hair and comb it through it instantly felt soft and light. After blowing out my hair I applied the SEAL, which is odorless, I then flat ironed and curled my hair.

Due to the humidity of the night air my hair did rise a bit at the roots, but I can tell you my hair was in tack the whole night, I didn’t need the clip I brought along just in case. This product is a definite must try. I also applied the products to my hair wearing it natural the serum was great but I prefer to use the SET when I straighten my hair.

Have you found any new products for your hair this summer?

I'm really into leave in conditioners when setting my hair but a lot of them on having parabens in it sooo I recently purchased a leave in from Aveda's brillent line and I love it!

I'm happy your new purchases have given your hair the look you want without the crazy damage!
