According to a new study, this reigns true. Some of the reasons that were stated in the article are because of the acidity of the skin, sweat and oil glands and claims that women may have more bacteria living under the surface of the skin where washing is not accessible.
If this is true, women can’t really help their body chemistry. Although, if we all reflect back to grade school, the line in the hallway was always held up because of the boys who had to go back to the bathroom and wash their hands. As civilized adults both men and women (for the most part) know the importance of cleanliness and precautionary measures in regards to bacteria.
