As we are enjoying the warm weather why not relax after a long day, sit outside and enjoy the sun with a refreshing glass of bubble tea.
Originated in the 1980s in Taiwan, bubble tea is a refreshing drink that is slowly gaining popularity in the States. The tea generally comes in two ways, as a fruit flavored tea and milk tea. The “bubbles” or “pearls” are chewy tapioca balls at the bottom of the cup that fit through the big colorful straw provided.
Before its modernization, bubble tea consisted of Chinese black tea, tapioca pearls, honey and condensed milk, now there are a variety of flavors to choose from.
Mom always told us that it was not polite to blow bubbles in our beverages, now they are already there for you. So, chew away, be refreshed, relax and enjoy!
