Happy Spring, our moods are slightly changing, as the weather is warming up, the snow is melting and the days are getting longer. As we shop for the new spring fashions we are realizing that those last five pounds we started working on at the beginning of the year either resurfaced with a few more or never left. The best thing to do at this point is revamp your work out.
It is important to exercise different muscle groups so your body can be challenged. If you are at the gym five days a week switch your workout and try new ways to stay in shape.
Exercise outside: Exercising outside has many health benefits a jog through the neighborhood may be more helpful due to the fact of the natural incline in the road which will help you burn more calories. It is also great to have a healthy dose of fresh air to clear out the lungs.
Try a new class: Go to some of the classes that the gym offers instead of using the machines for a while, this is a great way to challenge your body and meet new people. If you don’t go to the gym, try your local community center.
Stretch for Strength: Yoga has many health benefits. Trade in the weights for a yoga mat and meditation for a while, if you decide you like both switch days between yoga and weights.
There are many ways to revamp your workout, to get the motivation back and the inches melted away. Share your thoughts and ideas with calming corners.
